Heater fan stopped

a2 1.4 deisel with aircon

The fan and heater have suddenly stopped (right after a service!). The mechanic told me I need to buy a control unit and gave me the part number(820820043D5PR). I sourced a used one, had it replaced and it made no difference. I realise the used part could also be faulty but.....
Has anyone any suggestions please?

Heater Switch Only Now Works Only Full Power

I have had the almost the same, albeit I don't have A/C. Following a service the heater fan will only work only the fastest setting, the other settings no longer work at all. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
 
You have a multi stage resistor that is known to fail and it's this that needs replacing.
