Help!!!

Hi,

I posted a thread a few weeks ago about my balance shaft seizing on my TDI, I've got clearance from the warranty company to pay for the repair but now the whole process has been held up by ordering one part.

The tensioner for the timing chain is not in stock at Audi and they are waiting for enough orders to produce more. As the A2 is the only 3 cylinder diesel that was produced by the volkswagen group this may take a long time.

Does anybody know where I could get one outside of Audi?

I'm really stuck without a car and it's drving me insane :mad:

Hope someone can help.
 
The 3 cyl TDi engine is not unique to the A2 as it's used in the Polo, Lupo and Seat Arosa. I think the tensioner design differs between early and later engines so make shure you chase after the right type for your car.
