home servicing??

hey folks im new to this forum. just got myself an 2002 A4 1.4tdi.. low mileage at 30k.. full history.
I am wondering how easy (or hard) it is to change oil, plugs, filters etc by yourself.. :confused:

Welcome to the A2oc

The air and oil filters are fairly easy to change but the fuel filter is a real pain. Make sure you use the correct (VW 507.00 spec) oil - Castrol Edge 5w30 or similar. If you'r a novice (diesel engines dont have spark plugs) at servicing cars then get a more experienced friend to help out.
The 'miles to next service' indicator on the dash can be reset using the instructions in the drivers handbook if you don't have access to a diagnostic tool

nice one thanks..im going to put it in to my local audi specialist and get the pump and belt done soon.. wouldnt attempt this on my own.. ;)
