This is not a new thing for me, but on my Audi A2 petrol the revs are hunting in-between gear shifts and in neutral. Revs bounce up and down from 1000rmp to 2000rmp. The revs also turn to stick and go a bit up during gear shifts.
When in gear, the car runs, pulls, and feels normal.
Could it be a fault related to a sensor, or is it a fuel injector problem? Read something about the injector loom on diesels. Could it be the same problem on petrol engines. Have perviously changed the temp sensor 4 times. (Bosch) Are these in poor quality compared to the audi original?
