its stopped working when the wheel is turned,works when standing still but,and works on hazards and alarm,could it need a clean or is it one of the thinks with them.
 
I suspect the relay is at fault, as the mechanicals of the stalk rarely (if ever) fail.

A new relay is about the £25 mark and is user fittable. Do a search of past posts to get more advice on exactly how to do it. Basically, you'll need to remove the ashtray and storage compartment and climate panel, as the relay is nestled behind there.
