I have a quirky electrical fault in the rear interior light. Can anyone offer any advice on how this is wired, or what it might be?
Symptoms:
1. Rear interior light doesnt work when rear switch set to manual (I) position
2. Rear interior light doesnt work when doors opened, or for remote unlock
3. Rear interior light does work OK when front interior switch set to manual (I) position
4. Front interior light behaves normally
When I move the FRONT interior rocker switch very slowly to (I), there's a point where the front light only comes on, then after about 1mm further movement a relay is heard to operate, and the rear light comes on - so I guess theres multi-pole contacts in the front switch and that the switching relay is OK.
Anybody has access to a wiring diagram that can advise.
