Intermittent EPC and Engine Management System Fault lights

Hi,

I have those 2 lights coming on and off for a while. Had it checked at a local garage but the computer found no fault.

1) Both lights show up when starting the engine.
2) After switching it off and starting again the EPC is off but the Engine Management System one stays on.
3) After a day or so when starting the engine the secind warning light stays off then as well for wile.
4) Then it starts all over again after 1-2 days.

When driving I do not notice any difference with the warning lights being on or off.

Does anyone have a clue what could be wrong?
Would be grateful for any advice!

The lights can indicate several different problems, some of which don't always show up with generic code readers. Its worth trying to have it scanned again with Vag Com (there may be a club member near you) or by a VW / Audi / Seat / Skoda dealer

One thing worht checking is if the brake lights are working when the fault occurs as a dodgy brake light switch or blown bulbs can trigger some warning lamps
