Hi there
Firstly, great website and community!
I test drove a SE 1.4 with 60k miles on the clock from a dealer. Everything was spotless and the car seemed in very good condition. However, whilst driving the car I heard a faint vibration only when I went into 4th gear. I initially thought it was a trimming noise but no, you can feel the slight vibration on the gear stick too. Is this something I need to be concerned about? I have asked the dealer to send it to their garage for a check out unsurprisingly they came back saying they could not find a fault with the car and it shouldn't be of any concern. All the other gears seem to work flawless and there is no vibration. The car has had a full service history with Audi (last one was Sep 2009 (3k miles)) and MOT expires in Jan 2011
I'm looking to buy the car this evening but wanted a last minute opinion from some experts. I will however request another test drive this evening before I make my final decision. Any advice you can give would be kindly appreciated.
