Now I'm sure the esteemed members here know only too well the pitfalls of Kwik-fit, but here's a shocker :
Parents' second car, a 1.6 Fabia, blew a tyre over the weekend (absolutely shredded, it was quite a sight). On inspection in the garage the (non kwikfit) mechanic expressed surprise that Kwikfit had charged in the region of £65 a piece for budget tyres a little over a year ago, especially when only three of them were the required 195/55, with one of them being a 195/50.
Perhaps more surprising, Benfield Skoda happily let the car sail through its MOT and service in January with said tyre mismatch! There's two garages we'll be avoiding from now on...
