Loss of trip computer

How's this for an odd one on the DIS...

Filling up today, reset the Avg. Consumption, and all the trip functions go blank!!!

Still gives me the orange "OK" at the top when I turn the ignition on, and warnings in the large section to show open doors/boot, but no mpg/range/averages etc!

Has something gone pop?!?
What's going on? Anyone had this before?
 
The reset button on the bottom of the stalk has two functions...
1) Press and hold will reset the trip computer
2) Press briefly and the display is turned on and off

I did this in my TT years ago. Took me about a week before I figured it out.
Way before helpful forums existed....

We have all been caught out by that...
It is alarming when it happens. With mine it happened when the dealer did a service and I thought they had broken it.
I was about to take it back to them when I found the answer!
