Thinking of trading in the TT for a Mini Cooper Works.
Had a test drive yesterday............what a car !! 210 bhp.
Thinking very hard about. Because of a medical condition I have I am finding it increasingly difficult to get in and out of the TT, so this might be the answer ?

210bhp in a small, front wheel drive car.

Interesting in the wet!

1.4 Petrol Special Edition, Ebony Black, grey leather, heated seats, climate, opensky, five spoke alloys for SWMBO (Replaced a 2002 1.4 Petrol SE) Honda Accord Tourer 2.2 iCDTi for me.

Can't see an improvement here in the 'get into and out of' scenario.
I have to say that to my eyes the new MINI is not an attractive car - just a marketing ploy - a car with a wheelbase of a mk 1 Range Rover (yes they really are that big in real life!) should be able to accommodate more than you, the wife and Douglas Bader............... even if it is a German Car!

Your mind is best kept like a parachute.
A2 1.4 SE TDI replaced with a subtle, refined, pre schnoz design A3 2.0TDI DSG, the transmission of the future - today.

Ever tried getting in and out of a TT with a damaged kneck ? As for it not being an attractive car its individual prefference. I test drove it in very wet consitions on a country road and it stick like **** to a blanket. At around £23 k for a fully loaded version its not cheap.

They are not cheap no and give plenty of thrills yes. If it is not practicality you want or real metal inside (instead of cheap and awful feeling painted plastic bits that supposedly look like metal) it is a hoot. BUT for me the biggest drawback (as per the TT - sorry) is that they are so common. You see hundreds of them in a day and for the average punter there is no real difference between a ONE and a £23000 Works MINI... But in the end of the day it is how it handles and the smile it gives YOU. My A2 gives ME smiles going on my favourite country lanes and I don't really care what other people think of my purchase... So same with a MINI and you I guess.

(And by the way when this MINI was launched MINI (in caps) meant the new one and Mini meant old one... not sure if they still keep to that way of writing it.)
