Had a senior moment a few days ago.
It's not as if I had only recently changed -- I have been running on diesel for the past 15+ years. No heavenly body or other plausible distraction I can reasonably blame either .
Did not even realize it until the car came to a halt about 20 miles later right in the middle of a country road Z-bend. Took a while before I realized I had miss-fueled.
The AA's priority these days seems to be preaching the 'elf n' safety' mantra rather then providing a speedy support, so got a pall of mine to tow me home.
Next day I drained all the fuel (nearly a tank full) via the filter and replaced both. So far all is well and it seems I have got away with the proverbial murder.
I do, however, wonder if I should be aware of any possible problems showing up at some later date?
Any insight would be greatly appreciated
Regards
Mike
