Hi Guys,
as we said things are a bit crazy for us at the moment.
as you may remember we had a lot of problems with our current A2.... whistling noises that come from the tank area. After changing the pump 6 times with no effect our dealer has finally agreed to take the car back and replace it.
We have decided for a few extras in the new A2. We're sticking to the fsi but have added leather seats ; cruise control; boese sound system ; this time its red ( so it'll stand out). otherwise we're holding on to everything...open sky; fog lights; alu wheels ; s-line etc.
We're searching for a name for the car now!
Stuart asked me if I could help out as coordinator for Germany...I would like to take up this offer.
You may have seen that a german club has now also been set up ( this one is of course still better!).
The german club are having their firsz meet up on the 17th of July from about 10 in the morning.
They have a large meeting area ( from the german version of the AA); wiht music ; BBQ ; pavilion; and a draw with super prizes: first prize being a 5 day ferry ticket between France and the UK.
Maybe some of you would like to make the trip. We would be delighted to have some "international" visitors / even the Dutch are welcome[24]
We can organise hotels ; camping places ; a few could even stay with us.
The meet up is free ; planned is just to meet have a chat and compare notes on the cars. A AA technician is also going to be there to answer any questions on the car and can test them.
So where is all this taking place?:
Town is : Dortmund-Dorstfeld
ADAC-Servicecenter Dortmund-Dorstfeld
Spicherner Str. 61
44149 Dortmund
If anyone is interested mail me and I can give you a more detailed description of how to get there etc etc.
Stuart: as i haven't been able to keep up to date in the club can you send me a list of meets that are being organise from your side; as some of the german club members are interested in travelling over and meeting some of the english club members.
Its nice to be back, dear A2 kids!
