I'm kinda wishing that it was April 1st...

Having checked the NewScientist article, they will still need to install a receiver of some kind along with the associated hardware to snap pictures/perform number plate recognition.

Makes me wonder how much of the cost of a camera is the radar system. Does have any idea? If it's relatively cheap then there would appear to be little point to this except, of course, that radar detectors would be rendered useless...
