Read this and weep. Why can't we have 2.0 FSI engines and DSG transmission for the A2!

From http://www.channel4.com/apps26/4car/jsp/main.jsp?lnk=211&id=6524

"Seat has confirmed more details of its Altea compact MPV. This sporty small family-sized people-carrier will come with 1.6-litre (102bhp) and 2.0 FSI (direct-injection, 150bhp) petrol engines or the 1.9 TDI (105bhp) and new 2.0 16v TDI (140bhp) diesels. Both 2.0-litres will come with six-speed manual transmission as standard; six-speed auto and sequential Tiptronic gearboxes are available in the 2.0 FSI, and the VW-Audi DSG (Direct Shift Gearbox) clutchless transmission - as used in the Golf R32 and Audi TT V6 - is optional in the 2.0 16v TDI."

Hi Teazel,

Very good question! Lets just hope that AUDI are planning a big suprise just for us and will shortly announce the all new AUDI A2 with the 2.0FSI engine and DSG gearbox included as standard - oh and a all new starting price of £20k - hehe

It won't come as any surprise, that when I called Audi customer services for information on the likelihood of the A2 getting the same engines and transmission options that will be available on the Altea...

...that they didn't think that there would be; but that didn't mean it wouldn't happen, their representative said.

Hi Teazel,

It 'could be' interesting what Audi Customer services said, apart from the fact the probably now as much as we do, or even maybe a little less ;)
