mpg display

did any of the a2's come with the mpg display, fuel miles etc?

Sarge is indeed correct, but to clarify:

DIS ( drivers' information system) came in 2 forms, hi-line and lo-line. All A2s came with lo-line as standard, which shows warnings as well as outside temperature.

Hi-line was a £215 option on all A2s, apart from the Sport model, which had it fitted as standard, so, in answer to your original question, the answer is yes - all Sport models and also those specc'ed at the time of order.

Mike

Is it possible to re-programme low-line DIS to at least show some elements of the trip computer features like mpg without needing to include all the extra sensors such as washer fluid level etc, or is that a non-starter?

It's bizarre because in other Audi models, weren't trip computer features were standard on SE but not on Sport trim packages? My A4 sport quattro didn't have the trip computer functions but did have basic DIS.

It is a non-starter I'm afraid - the low-line DIS has only half a display (there's actually a plastic divider bar blanking off part of the screen) and even if you got a new set of clocks, you'd have to fit the sensors to get the extra funtions.

As you point out, the A2 is certainly in a group of its own when it comes to specs and models.

Cheers,

Mike
