My A2 replacement

Will

A2OC Donor
I was after a car with near A2 efficiency and convertible thrills that my VX220 offered. In the end I chose a SLK250 CDI.
I'm very pleased with it so far :)

Very nice, Will. Congratulations!

I presume it's too early to know how good it is on fuel? Do they make a manual version?

Tom

Thanks. Yes, I've only done 15 miles in the car so far, so a little too early to know the true mpg. After a couple of commuting weeks I should have a better idea.
The book claims 55mpg combined. I'm hoping for low 50's.
The 250CDI only comes with a 7-sp auto. The petrol 200 and 250 have 6-sp manual options.
But to be honest Mercedes are known for their auto boxes and I suspect most MB sold are auto.

Dan: Yes, RWD and snow are not happy partners. Thankfully my Civic has winter tyres so all is good with getting out and about.

I suspected that would be the answer. The number of manual Mercs on the road is tiny. I think, historically, Merc's target audience were those who wanted auto boxes.
