My courtesy car for the day!!!

SAD yes I know... but it had to be done for the forum!!! (Taking a picture of yourself and a courtesy car! [:I])

yummy... though it has 140bhp vs the old's 130 it feels the same... maybe heavier car or fact that it is a brand new 53 reg (9days old) car with 395 miles on the clock? But does it go! Smooth... powerful nice... took it up and down my favourite road between Smallfield and Bletchingly near Gatwick. Ultimately way faster than the A2... far far far far more fun than Mazda6 and Megane and the others I took down the same round, including my last courtesy car, the old shape A3 TDI Sport 130bhp... slight overstear, can you believe, when pushed really hard through those corners... but then you feel ESP kicking in and it brings it back in line... the A2's ESP never kicks in so that I can feel it... But straight line acceleration! WHOW!!! VERY nice... Interior: it is growing on me that 147 rubber nonsense on the main dash... window buttons way to far back and you have to move your arm to get to them... driver's door already has a rattle... all else how-hum Audi... good, very good, but apart from the round vents not that much different from the A2! But I would LOVE one... very nice...

I was comparing your face in the car picture with your signature pic - presumably that one is distorted to make the size up.

So what of the 150bhp-is this going up in bhp? It would be strange to have 140 and 150-for marketing surely they need to keep the gap of say 140 and 160?

Like the colour though!.

As for quality, Germany Autocar today said that their driver survey showed all German makes down on reliabilty/build, with the exception of Audi which went up from 14th to 7th-still not good. Japanese makes were at the top.

I see now... yes the sig pic is HIGHLY distorted!!! Maybe I should change it!!!

Audi does not do a 150bhp diesel... they never got the Golf engine in an A3... but lets hope it is 160 as 140 and 150 would be too similar!

Oh right-thought they shared across the VAG range-but then SEAT doesn't get the 150bhp.

Ooooh, imagine a 150bhp diesel Leon Cupra......I'm drooling already!.

get me one!. Nice, very nice. But why don't they sell it in the UK?. Image-the Golf has the fast TDI market to itself and the Leon would take a big share.

But then it's all VAG!!!!

It has not been availiable for a long time, just for the last 3 months or so, and only with the "Top Sport"-Package (from € 22000 upwards), the other variants are limited to the 130bhp TDI...

In the UK, the Ibiza has had the 130bhp for a few months now and only this last month has a 130bhp been available in the Leon and Toledo. Nice engines-especially in the Ibiza-goes like a rocket with that torque and a small car.

You can see why the next sport hatch will be diesel diesel diesel!.
