My latest mod..............

Did it spill any oil? Sump split or anything?

Glad you're ok, these little things take it their toll.

oooooooooo very painfull very painfull

I can almost feel your pain

Could the bloke be not a bit more carefull with lifting the car on the truck

hopefully not to much structural damage

maybe a good time to put some new shock on them, as they have to do some work on the legs

Glad your oke though, that is all what matters - the rest needs just a bit of money trown at it

Good point above - some nice new Konis or KWs :D

New BUmper, so that should cover costs of any body styling you fancy. New Brakes on front (nice set of Porsche calipers).......

Nah, think i'll have to call it a day with this car now. Will get another A2 later but need to get something a bit bigger. I'll definitely miss it though.:(

The damage is coming up to the £4k mark. Might get written off. :(

4K????

Then it must be more than we can see in the picture,

for 4K you have major structural damage.

No i don't think it will add up to that much

And if it is about Gbp 950, then reconsider not to claim on the insurance

as it could end up more expensive in the long run (increased insurance premium etc)

My commiserations mate!!

Glad you are okay and the only damage was to the car!!

Best of luck in your choice of replacement.

Regards,

Darren

P.S. Don't be a stranger to the forum!! ;)

Repair price seems okay really, is that an audi ally body shop, it was almost £3k for eggbert and that was just new rear bumper cover 2 wheels new rear axle unit and 1 suspension corner with a bit of spraying to the rear quarter, cost the 3rd party another £2k for my A3 sportback hire car!!
Still the main thing is you are okay, cars can be fixed pretty easy, humans not quite so easily

The £950 was for my damage which was a darned sight less.

Just looking at the piccies, SAT will need:

New undertray
Complete new front RHS suspension
New front bumper
New front Wing
New Front Door (it's dented)
Respray to offside doors, wing
Replacement wheel-arch

£4K easy
And a new front wheel and refurb on rear wheel,
Rear wheel arch and respray to rear bumper on o/s,
New brake disc and pads
New hub assembly and brake assembly,
Might get written off now cos it's only insured for about £6k.

Yep, the slip road onto the tunnel south bound. The car is a total loss so gonna buy it back and rebuild it. Looking at possible replacements now.

On his way home at 10am? I wanna work where he does!:D Anyway, getting the valuation from the insurance company today so hoping it's near the £6.5k mark.

Get yourself into the railway then only thing is you need to start as early as 5am and work as late as 1.30am:mad:
