Near Side Blindspot Mirror

Has anyone fitted either a heated or unheated blindspot mirror to the nearside (passenger), if so did it fit or was a modification required? I've just tried to fit said mirror and the mounting locators are rotated slightly preventing it from fitting. It has me and Martyn from Vag Parts confused to say the least! I have seen mention on the site of others with the blindspot on the nearside and would be interested in any comments about fitting.

Surely you just order a Continental driver's mirror and fit on the left? Then you have the blind spot bit on both sides?

I remember this from a few weeks ago. If my memory serves me correct it can't be done as the shape is slightly different.
Was it one of our Dutch or German friends who made this error?

Might be worth having a search back through the archives.

I've tried looking as I also thought I'd read a comment about it, but no luck in the archives, there was some discussion about the mounting angle of the N/S housing... Anyway replaced mirrors now with heated ones, it's just a shame about the convex N/S I do hate those! A flat glass would have been so much better.
