NEW philips +80 xtreme bulbs

I ordered a pair of the Philips X-Treme Power H7's from powerbulbs.co.uk (recommended company) - they were out of stock at the time but turned up just before Christmas. I paid just under £30 for the pair.

I bought them to replace my Philips BlueVision Ultras, one of which had blown anyway.

To be honest, I was initially a little disappointed - yes they are good, but to the eye the BlueVision's look more attractive, crisper and brighter due to the "Xenon effect" coating, although the actual output and throw is probably well short of the X-Treme's.

However, having used them for a few of weeks now, I swear they have become brighter - is this possible? Surely not?!!

Now then - for a really bright light.........
On my mountain bike I have a 30W HID running from a 10Ah polymer-ion battery. This equates to a 3.5hr runtime and a colossal 120W equivalent halogen output...........amazing!!!!

Hi eeeboy
I think your right. Bulbs do seem to 'burn in' and achieve their optimum brightness after a few hours.

Cheers Spike
