You will probably need to change the moulded plastic isolator which the spring sits on. Also check the rear shock bump stops as these are known to crumble. There are some pics in this thread - http://www.a2oc.net/forum/showthread.php?t=6456&highlight=rear+shocks
There aren't any std length aftermarket springs available for sports or normal suspension so you are stuck with Audi parts. Check the colour code dots on your broken spring to ensure you get the correct spec replacement (there about 10 versions)

Thanx spike just wondering where I can find the dots on the spring? If the place where im going to get it fixed put my reg in it should come back with the same springs as I have yep?

I was wondering if any one can help

I have had my rear springs replaced and the rear of the car sits lower than it used to, so do I have different springs? All I said was I was the same like for like and they said they will order them according to my reg, and they would be OEM springs.

If you take a look at the car before when the rear springs was unbroken

I intend to have FSD's/Koni on the front which will lower so I guess it would match?

But why are they lower? I have the same in the boot no extra weight. :)

Ooh that's strange - do you definitely have a Sport or is it an SE with some of the sport options? Perhaps you actually had SE springs, so putting Sport springs on the back means the rear has dropped by 10mm.

If you were to do the FSDs at the front, you would need to ensure to get -30mm springs at the front too as this will bring the front down to the same lower (sport!) ride hight that you seem to now have at the back.

It's listed as sport, maybe they have been changed to SE along the way, how can I find out what springs are on the front? where can I find the dots? I've measured the rear and its 10mm from the plastic trim to the top of the wheel, and 40mm at the front..
