New Wheels

Hi to All,

I'm new to the forum and new to the A2 as I've only just bought an ebony A2

Sadly the model I've bought is just the base model running on the standard 15inch wheels. I had thought of upgrading the wheels to the 17inch ones, as they look great, but the stories about there fagility and effects on ride quality have put me off. What are peoples thoughts on the 16inch wheels ?

Hi sw, welcome to the A2oc.
My SE came with the 16" rims as standard but I bought a set of the polished 15" ones for winter use and liked them so much they have stayed on the car. It's all down to personal taste - I still prefer the looks of the 6 spoke 16" wheels but the car does ride better on the 15" ones.

The 15inch wheels look too small in the wheel arches for me but I take your comments on the ride quality. Even the ride on 15 inch wheels is harsh on the terrible roads of Sheffield.

I am in sheffield too! I know what you mean about the roads.
I am selling my 16" alloys (SE spec off my 2004 A2). Good Pirelli tyres all round.

Looking for around £330 for them.

What is your A2 like?

they are indeed, 16" SE wheels
