I made a start cleaning the EGR last week, I got stuck trying to remove the lowest socket screw blocked by the cooler “haggis” inlet so I just cleaned the ASV and intake pipe leading to it. I removed the MAP sensor from the intake pipe first and gave it a little dip in IPA to degrease/clean it. On refitting I noticed the loom to the MAP plug had a split in line 4 exposing copper, it looked like it had been there a while so I added it to my todo list and turned the car over no problems...until I drove it...when EML with limp mode throws up P0237 open circuit on air pressure sensor...I bought a new plug, stripped and reconnected all 4 on this loom and I’m still getting this error. Disconnected battery for >20 mins and still have this code. 
Have I been looking at the wrong area for this fault? Could it be the connector on the ASV?
Have I killed the MAP when I cleaned it?
Any help appreciated, limp mode is not much fun!
