I have just changed my front discs and pads in my 1.6 FSi. The old OE pads where Pagid - it is stamped on the cast metal part. I replaced with OE from Audi but they were made by some Italian company. They do not have the initial bite as the Pagid pads - ie you can't do a stoppy! Anyone else experienced this?

Did you also fit OE discs as some of the cheeper aftermarket ones may be made from material with a lower (worse) friction coefficient.
Hope i'm not insulting your intelligence but hopefully you cleaned all the anti rust coating off the new discs before installation.
