Part needed: Shift lever: Neutral-Recognition Switch

Looks like my A2 1.2 TDI automatic gear shift is broken. The car does not recognise the gear every now and then. So I need a spare part 8Z0 971 697.

Can someone help to find the part and get my A2 back on the road?

No-one in the UK will have this part since the 1.2TDI was never imported here by Audi, but one of our other European members may be able to point you in the right direction for a link to purchase online.

There is a chap on the German forum called Mankmil (I think) we can supply a reconditioned and improved actuator if that is your issue

Thank you! Could you please be more specific... What forum are you referring to? I'm quite new to the A2 social community and forums

That’s the chap. Thanks @bretti_kivi Sadky my own 1.2 is playing up so I mace made use of the above link to raise my own question on the German forum and am receiving helpful replies
