Afternoon all,
Having trawled the forum via a search I can't seem to find anything similar. My 7 year old A2 has a problem with the passenger seat belt. Every so often is gets stuck, like it is supposed to when it restrains the passenger, but it does it without warning and when travelling at constant speed! To release the belt you have to unbuckle it (great when you are travelling at 70mph!), let it retract, and then it will work properly. I have lubed the belt with silcone spray, and this hasn't helped. When it retracts it makes a clicking noise, like something is catching. Can you lube the mechanism?? And how do I get to it? Is this a job for my local VW/Audi specialist? Interesting the driver side belt is fine! I guess this one has had more use.
