You have been looking closely. Yes the calipers are red - I've stripped them and Hammerited them to keep them from rotting - makes it easier to clean as well as making them look better.
The windows are 35% front and 20% rear, with the standard 35% for the roof and rear screen. If it wasn't for the OpenSky, they'd probably be too dark, but having light available from above helps to lighten things a bit.
Strictly speaking they aren't road legal, but as long as the coppers can see your face, they generally don't bother. A2's aren't in the same 'bad boy' class as Saxos and Corsas either (thank god) so generally attract far less attention.
I've had it done really for aesthetics and practicality in equal measure and it has been very beneficial during these last few sunny months - keeps the leather from fading too (would it go pink then?)
