please help I've got my back seats stuck down !!

I've got my 2004 53 reg A2 now (new front grille) love it !!

Bit of a problem though.. I took out the back seats over the weekend to create some extra luggage space.. put them back in (folded) and can't now fold the backrest upright

In the manual it says just push them up but it really feels like there is something clipping them down.. please help!

I don't know whether it's something to do with it being the updated version and my manual being for the old one?
 
You need to push them firmly to the floor (When folded). Then you should hear a "click" which allows you to fold the backrest upright.

I Think you need to push them down first, before you pull them up, you should here an audible click as you push them down, and this should release the mechansim
