Hi guys, can anyone tell me if faulty glow plugs could be responsible for poor starting from either cold or warm, the problem has got progressively worse, the first time it happened was after the car had been standing for a couple of hours on a warm afternoon last summer, a quick squirt of easy start always seemed to sort the problem and after a few days the engine warning light and the glow plug light would go off until maybe a day or so later and it would not start again, the problem is now so bad that it just cuts out without warning while running at idle or at speed. It is also getting more difficult to start with easy start as well.
I changed the diesel filter, air filter and gave it an oil change yesterday but it has not made any difference and judging by the experiences of Audi dealers on this forum as well as my hassle with Audi and my RS6 I am reluctant to get a dealer to look at it, something also tells me they probably wouldn't have a clue either.
