Power Steering problems

I am having problems with my power steering going loose and then really hard to manoeuvre the steering wheel when I am turning right or left. this also leads to my lights internally on the dashboard, interior lighting and my head lights dipping in unison with a dripping noise. I have had the power steering pump checked and this seems to be OK, does anyone have any ideas? I was told that I may need the Can-bus replacing!!! what is that when it is out? any suggestions that don;t cost me an arm and a leg would be greatly appreciated

welcome to A2oc your problems sound to me like an earth problem, but i am by no means an expert--but rest assured one will be along in a while(possibly to move this thread into the correct location,this being the social section).
if you try a search for earth points--using the search box and not the chat box(regular error lol)I'm sure you will find some help
