The problem page in this weeks Auto Express has this:
"DARING to be different cost Guto Evans dear. He didn't want
a run-of-the-mill car and singled out an Audi A2 as ideal for
his needs. But his FSI has been off the road for three months,
and he's been left wondering if he made the right decision.
The ex-demonstrator was purchased from his local
dealer, Hartwell Audi, Cardiff, last August. It wasn't until April
that faults started to appear. "I noticed something wrong
haven't seen it since," explained Guto. At first, the garage
believed the problem lay with the ignition coil packs, but
further investigations revealed a new engine was needed.
And that's where the trouble really started.
Guto was told that the units were on a back-order, which
means demand outstrips supply, and that this would cause
delays. But when the engine did turn up it was faulty and
to get involved. "What makes matters worse is that I'm run
ning around in a Peugeot 206. Hardly an A2, is it?"
We called the manufacturer and it jumped on the case. A
spokesman said the 206 was the only car available, but
Guto has now been given an A6 to use. A new engine is
being rushed to the dealer and the manufacturer has
promised to hand over a goodwill gesture to compensate."
Anyone on here?.
