Yes, I know. Doh! The pump hose was black. I put 10 litres in of unleaded before I realised. I never started the car. I got the tank drained and put in the correct fuel in.

Question: I did, however, use the remote key fob to lock and unlock the car.

Will this have damaged the pump etc? :(

Thanks in advance.

Gary.

No, it'll be fine, the pump only starts when the key is put in the ignition and turned to the 2nd position.

Using the remote key fob won't do anything.

Good job you noticed before starting it up though.

One of our guys filled up there Diesal van with £60 of petrol
they had to syphon out the petrol ..
Only problem is we have Gallons of petrol to get rid of , are boss
had a word with a mechanic and he said its fine to mix a small amount of petrol
with a full tank of diesal .....And wont do the engine any harm at all ...
Dont know if i would be brave enough to try this in my A2 though ....

I think the combination of petrol in diesel is to prevent it freezing isn't it, umm I don't know
