Quirky cars?

Yep, 2002.... too easy really...

Absolutely knackered but fun to drive...

Few interesting cars come up already, nice to see, liked the sera...

Try this one.

Back in the mid/late 90s when I sold cars, the worst salesperson for the month had to drive the trade in sh@tter. Many a daewoo became the trophy of choice!

This had to be one of the worst quirky cars I’ve ever owned

A moment of desperation for transportation with £200 in my pocket ?

Yay!

It's a Foers nomad, mini based and very much like the scamp and a poor man's moke. It was actually a brilliant car and, looking back, possibly one of my favourites. With the doors off and roof down, it was great fun. Mine had old vanden plas leather seats with big armrests, it was like driving an armchair.

Early 90s, I went to le mans 24h with a mate, hitched up with a couple of young ladies (ahem!), drove down through France, into Italy, then over the alps into Switzerland and back home. We were being overtaken by trucks on the way up, and had massive brake fade and a small brake fire on the way down!

Happy days...

Did you build it yourself or bought? Long way to drive in that type of car?

Vanden Plas, now that’s a trim I haven’t heard of in decades. My cousin had a Rover 200 Vanden Plas and it was the plush version in its day. Interesting want constituted plush and technologically advanced at the time, 4x electric windows, electric mirrors and some leather, that was about it I think.
