rear brake calipers

i want to sevice and replace brake discs and pads but i know that to do it properly you have to wind back the caliper piston back into the main caliper (rear only)
My question is 'is it a left hander or right hander' and can anyone suggest which tool to get for this as when i went to my local factor he showed various types and we couldnt work out which one to get and i didnt want to pay c£90 for a do any make full tool
I ve done a search but didnt seem to get anywhere

I have a "fit anything" caliper tool that winds in clockwise.
The pistons on the A2 brakes are fairly easy to screw in.
My set was a £45 LASER set and I have used it on four separate cars in the 2 years since I bought it.

I've just done my fronts not long ago, without using those special tools, just a bit of brute force and lever on the worn pads using a large spanner (just watch out the brake fluid overflow!).

One of my friend uses a G-clamp and another mate of mine uses a hand tool similar to a g-clamp called caliper compressor like this http://www.toolprofessional.net/Lis...src=GB&utm_medium=organic&utm_source=GB&id=uk

You have to use this tool on the rear brakes as they need to wind back otherwise they won't go back.
