Rear Bumper & Wheelarch

Hi

I noticed over the w/e a small crease in the drivers side rear wheel arch and that the rear bumper was pushed in very slightly on one side, so its no longer flush with the side panel. Theres no visable marks on the bumper or wheel arch but I'm guessing someones caught the car while parked.

I was wondering if anyone had any experience of how difficult a repair it is to re-alight the bumper and try and smooth out the crease?

Should I consider taking it to an offical stealer or find a local body shop?

I had always thought that the rear wheel arches were plastic.

Thanks

All 4 arches are indeed plastic.

To realign the bumper (rear) needs the use of axel stands and a good jack - forget the one that comes in the boot.

You will need to remove both wheels, the arch liners and then all the bolts that hold the bumper (and arches) in place. Remove the bumper, re-align it and then screw everything back up again.

Sounds easy, but it's a b****r of a job in reality.

Cheers,

Mike

Thanks Mike,

If the arch is plastic I'm hoping the kink will drop out when the bumper is re aligned.

Don't think I'm going to attemt this at home, might look for a local bodyshop.

It should do, but the arch is most definitely plastic.

Best of luck,

Mike
