hi , i have smashed my rear light cluster and tonight will be driving , i have a new one but could do with some help , any basic tips or guidlines to help me do this fairly painlessly

8mm bolts from the inside, three if I remember right. Take the cover off from the inside and you'll see them. Painless, should be done in 15minutes.

Bret is correct, however, PLEASE BE CAREFUL NOT TO LOSE ANY OF THE NUTS DOWN BEHIND THE BOOT TRIM - TO GET ONE BACK MEANS REMOVING THE TRIM, WHICH IS A BIT OF A NIGHTMARE!

I'd suggest loosening the nuts with a socket then finishing off by hand, to be ceretain.

brilliant guys thankyou so much , only just getting around to doing it today , good tip on the bolts etc too. Aren't audi drivers helpful...haha
