Yes, you find some like this on ebay. They do not fit by using the original screw and holes for the screw but you can mount these with some self-tapping screw.Hi,
What's the type of adapter from ebay that fits ?
Something like this ? http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270087298004
I know this. Some people in the German forum did so.Hi -See you´ve made adaptors after measuring the original speaker boxes. You get a much better result grinding out the original membranes and just use the empty box as an adaptor for an othe speaker . I´ve done it using pioneer :looks and sounds great . No problem with door hinges!!
Can send pictures from my project .

Thanks for the advice Erstens, I won't try fitting 20cm speakers in the rear doors then. I tought it was possible (read on a German forum), but my understanding of German is really limited so I'd better follow your advice. Let's go for 16,5cm then. I will have passengers in the rear, in fact I bought the A2 for that (my other car is a MGTF)Yes, you find some like this on ebay. But better don't try 20cm speakers! No one ever tryed that. use 6,5" (16,5cm) speakers. Anyway you don't really need speakers in the rear. They will not upgrade the sound. (only good if often have rear passengers)
But a subwoofer will have some positive effect.
The original Chorus or Concert Radio only has two channels! So you need the little Blaupunkt Amp or better, a new head unit. Impedance should be 4 Ohm (the orig. Speakers are more at 3 Ohm than 4 Ohm and 3 Ohm is also printed on the speakers.)
They are for smaller 13cm (not 16 cm) speakers. But with bigger hole, 16/16,5 cm is possible. But they were cut from a massiv peace of plastic, not cheapThe white moulded adapters looks perfect!!
