Took my 1.6 FSI in the same day I picked it up for a cambelt renewal (7 years and 53K without one!) haveing previously spoke to them on the phone and confirmed their VAG expertise.

http://universalvw.co.uk/

They use only genuine VAG parts and VAG Trained or ex-VAG staff.

Their website and facilities are very slick, they have MOT status and they have won numerous awards from the AA to Trading Standards Excellence and even the BBC.

I dropped the car off and also mentioned I wanted a clutch change as I thought it very low.

Car was booked in in minutes, I was introduces to my technician and was on my way.

I got a call the very next day saying that my alternator belt was perished and they recommended renewal. I confirmed and they said the car would be ready to collect within the hour - so less than a 24 hour turnaround for a busy Central London garage! They also advised against renewing the clutch right away as they believed there was still a years life in it. They could have easily made another £400 but to their credit they put honesty above profit.

Best bit is price.

Cambelt Kit, Alternator Belt and Water Pump - £380 supplied and fitted + Plus free valet.

Audi Finchley Road - ££520.

Clutch quote at Universal VAG - £400.

Audi Finchley Road - £800+!

Big thumbs up for this family run business - there are not many like this and I recommend them to any Londoner.

Wow, that's almost half what I paid for cambelt and aux belt etc. Where exactly are they?

not bad, I need to do cambelt this at the service. Will see how much russell automotive gives. Finchley Road audi is ridiculously expensive, but that's just like all dealers in London, the old Hendon Audi, Docklands, Victoria you name it. Clutch should be closer to 1000 incl VAT. They'll charge 5hr labor at £90+ excl vat.
