rocker cover torque??/

Hi,

im new to this forum but have found it ever so useful!!
Ive had a few problems with my car mis firing and abs light switching on. Its been suggested i replace the fuel injector wiring harness under the rocker cover i just wanted to know what the torque is once ive replaced it as well as the gasket and have put the cover back on??

any ideas please???
 
Hi rogersnelson, welcome to the A2oc
The rocker cover bolt torque is 10Nm.
Be aware there are 2 gasket types and the old version is obsolete. This means in some circumstances, if you need a new gasket you have to replace the rocker cover as well.
With a little care the gasket can generally be reused

Hi thanks Spike. My A2 is a 2001 tdi so the gasket may be obsolete, i was also told that the bolts may need replacing... i just really hope i dont damage the gasket when taking of the rocker cover
