Service interval reset

hi all

as i have lost my service handbook, i am asking you guys this question

how can i make a reset after i have made service to the car ?:confused:

as described below in an earlier tread..

You can only reset to fixed (10k miles) intervals without specialist tools.

If you have had a variable service done, then the best thing to do would be to do a reset and then get the car serviced again at the end of that countdown and make sure they reset it properly this time.

Hi schakenda,

You should be able to get a manual from your Audi dealer, but this is what the manual says on page 84:

How to reset the service indicator.
BUTTON 1 is the same button that sets the clock / date beside rev counter.
BUTTON 2 is the same button that resets the trip recorder beside speedometer.

PROCEDURE

1. Switch off ignition.

2. Press button 2 and hold while switching on the ignition. The display should now read SERVICE!

3. Press and hold button 1 until the word SERVICE! is cleared from the display.

Notes
Do not clear the service indicator in between services - otherwise the display will be incorrect.

The information in the service indicator remains intact if the battery is disconnected.
