I thought I’d post this here as the answer would then be in the correct place for those who want it (however if there’s a better place then please move this post Mods!):

I’m looking for the servicing schedule for the A2 (TDI90 in my case) - Does anyone have a copy of it, along with all lubricant specifications etc.?

You can get this from the My Audi service. Log in when you have a VIN and it will tell you what should be done, when.

Essentially:
- oil every year or two, depending on the quality; 506.01 or 507.00 NOT 506.00
- brake fluid every two
- antifreeze "does not need replacing"; G12++ or G13 is the correct stuff
- gearbox oil is "sealed for life", change is probably a good idea every 6-7 years. API GL-4, probably G060726A2

Cambelt is under way more strain on the TDIs, must be changed. I would also change the oil pump chain. Water pump and cambelt every 120000km, oil chain should survive double that.

Full details and an authoritative list (in German) here: https://wiki.a2-freun.de/wiki/index.php/Servicearbeiten

Yes. But the Audi information you'll get from MyAudi is correct. The stuff over on the Wiki is authoritative *for the German market* but, for example, I believe the TDI oil change intervals are different for the UK. They were also changed at least once during the early sales period in Germany.

Better translation:

Maintenance interval without longlife

Petrol engine
Interval: every 15000km or 12 months. Use oil according to VW standard 500.00, 501.01, 502.00

diesel
Interval: every 15000km or 12 months. Use oil according to VW standard 505.00 -> not permitted for PD-TDI, 505.01

Maintenance interval with longlife

Petrol engine
Interval: maximum 30000km or 2 years Condition: Use oil according to VW standard 503.00, 504.00

diesel
Interval: maximum 50000km or 2 years Condition: Use oil according to VW standard 506.01, 507.00 Warning: VW standard 506.00 not permitted for PD-TDI engines!

Maintenance schedule

Service scope

- Check bulbs
- Change engine oil, oil filter
- Visual inspection: exhaust system, brake system, tightness of engine / gearbox / toothed belt / final drives, tires / corrosion, windshield wipers
- Visual inspection of timing belt including rollers (petrol engine)
- Check thickness of brake pads / discs - Minimum disk thickness is 19mm
- Check coolant: frost protection level / filling quantity / leaks
- Replace cabin filter, recommended to use activated charcoal
- Check brake fluid level
- Check tire pressure / tread pattern
- Check wheel alignment / steering / axle boots
- Check tire sealant
- Cleaning and lubrication: door locks / locks / OpenSky
- Check headlights / headlight range control / wiper-washer nozzles
- For 1.2: Carry out basic TDI transmission setting / GGE
- Read fault memory
- Refill battery with distilled water if possible / necessary
- Reset service display

Additionally every 60000km
Change spark plugs (petrol engine)
V-ribbed belt (aux belt) + tension pulleys: Visual inspection
Hydraulics (brakes, gearshift): Check / top up fluid level, visual check for leaks
Replace fuel filter of TDI engines
Replace air filter, clean air filter housing

Additionally every 90000km
Replace timing belt, tensioner pulley, water pump (diesel until approx. 10/2003 with engine code AMF)

Additionally every 120000km
Replace timing belt, tensioner pulley, water pump (diesel from approx. 10/2003 with engine code BHC, ATL)

Every 2 years
Replace brake fluid

Every 6-8 years
Replace timing belt, aux belt, tensioner pulley, water pump (recommendation for petrol engines)

Thanks for your mention of the oil pump & balance shaft chain assembly, as per my post HERE - I believe all diesel owners should be considering this work as part of Audi’s official schedule. Adding here for completeness.
