Sparkplugs

My new A2 1.4 has just reached 40,000 miles and I'm going to change the sparkplugs, I was going to buy standard plugs from Vagparts, any recommendations? :)

Also, anyone know the torque settings?

I run a diesel so can't really recommend any specific spark plugs but I'd personally keep with the standard make (NGK?) and model. Could be worth checking Halfords or a local motor factors to save postage costs from VagParts
Best to remove old plugs while the engine is warm. Torque is 30 Nm

Thanks ... I thought that might be the case, same on my TT. Funny how all these new plugs are on the market e.g. iridium, yet people seem to recommend the standard plugs. :)

just in case any looks at this later ... I think the torque setting should be around 20nm; one source of information said finger (using a socket) tight and then another 1/2 to 2/3 turn, or 20nm if you have a torque wrench ;)
