System too Lean

My engine management light is on..again..
The error is "System too Lean". Don't have the exact error code.
Any ideas..?

You'r not giving us too much to go on but one possiblity would be an air leak on the intake system. There is some info on using a detection spray for troubleshooting in the attached link. I'd recommend you get the error codes before spending any money though

Well.. the error has been there for some time, the engine management light is on, no difference in driving though.. Service guys wrapped their head around this, couldn't figure it out, I can't afford taking it to Audi. They would charge me more than I can afford on fixing just for looking at it..

Could be one or both of the lambda probes - they have direct control over fuel mixture. Try and pull the fault codes though as it could also be the MAF, or the knock sensors, or an air leak...

Well, thats the problem with todays service workshops. They should get paid for what they fix, not for what they do.
