Yes Audrey is one of the two “test cars” for this wonderful piece of engineering and I’m happy to heartily recommend it as a much better designed part than the original - as it won’t break nor wear your alloy boost pipe.

As Dave says, it’s a must for TDi90 owners.

My comments on heat degradation: I think this is potentially a longer term issue that just a few months though this thought has clearly not stopped me giving it a go. Maybe an insulation layer (bit of old inner tube) between the bracket and the sump might stop the direct heat transfer between sump and bracket thereby reducing temperatures and mitigating degradation.

That is certainly a good suggestion and can’t do any harm. The longer bolts supplies with the kit will accommodate an extra 1mm or so of inner tube

I will check mine at the next oil change service in 6000 miles and let Paul know whether any degradation has occurred so he can think - if needed - what might stop it. But so far, after the first couple of thousand miles, all is good.

Recieved mine in the post and its nicely crafted.... thanks Paul. I like the foam insert inside the ring to prevent further chaffing of the aluminium turbo pipe.
