Thanks for sharing Alan. Impressive indeed. I couldn't fathom John's humour till I browsed the Tesla website. Very slick but my oh my do they take the concept of exorbitant option pricing to a whole new level. Premium price tags and a 7 month wait.
Nice touch asking a £2k refundable deposit to configure and order one. All adds to the exclusivity I suppose. Wonder how it'll fair in the UK market?

Edit: Just had a play with the configurator. On the performance model you can quickly notch up £30k of options bringing the retail cost just shy of a cool £100k. Golly!

2k for a glass roof is probably fair enough given the cost of the Audi option, but having to fork out for parking sensors, interior light pack and leather interior on a £70k motor car seems a bitty mean. Sounds amazing though.
