Thule roof bar owners??

I`ve just purchased a set in order to mount a bike rack.

Only a slight problem, going by the fitment guide, the feet at the front are spaced at 31.5, and the feet at the back are spaced at 26. The back seem ok but the front don`t sit properley in the gutter, and, once the racks are fitted the front portion of the rubber pad lift off the roof line. It is still very secure but surely this cannot be correct.

Its Aero bars and 591 carrier`s BTW.

What do you have your bars set to?

I too found the fit was not to my liking - so I stopped using them and fitted a towbar instead!

Not directly helpful to you I know - but just to say I really did not like the fit of the thule on my A2 either!

mmmm! So that`ll be £110 on the roof bars, plus £109 for the bike carrier`s (roof mounted). And now another £500ish for a towbar plus anoth £100ish for the towbar mount.

I think i`ll persevere with the bars for the time being, i have adjusted the out to 32.5, i`ll see if this makes a difference.

Thanks

Phil
