Tie rods

Just had a couple of advisories after my A2 had its Mot it said there was play on the offside and nearside tie rods does anyone know where the best place to purchase these from is and how easy they are to change.

I'm a great beliver in using genuine Audi parts but if your budget is tight then try Eurocarparts. They sell complete tie rods and the individual ball joints - normally only the ball joints need replacing.
You will need a ball joint splitter to remove the old joints and the tracking checked after installation of the new bits.
