* EDIT * just seen your second post..
Did you cut a hole and use the same fitting as the near side on the offside?

No problem. Glad to see my template is of use.Yes the offside needs to be cut to make the hole for the light to fit into. The lights I bought were a little bigger than the standard A2 unit so had to make the hole in the left a little bigger then make the hole on the right. Someone did produce a template for the positioning of the right hand light unit but I can not remember who it was. I think I still have the template and if so will post it here. Apologies to the owner of this template.

Yep,Can not remember the part number but they were complete led replacement units. The ones I used had the dual wiring sockets i.e. the large socket as the original fitted on the A2 and also the smaller socket. the smaller socket was utilised to wire in the second light on the offside.

this is the front left wheel bearing. Meh. Now to find parts and someone who knows how to replace with the correct tool....and we're back, no major issues. 900kms I think - tripped over the 180000kms in my ownership mark yesterday. Absolutely torrential rain no problem. Got to work on the fuelly numbers, they should be available soon. Found out a couple of things:
- I have a really annoying hum as of 80km/h. Above 100km/h it melds into the road noise.
I suspect strongly it is connected.- there's a nice vibration when accelerating, especially above 80km/h. I don't know how long this has been there and I need to find out. I do wonder if this is connected to the above.
this needs completed- the sub amp cuts out about 3h in, it's obviously overheating. I need to fix something pretty major there anyway, so I figure I might actually just drop down in size to the Soundigitals I intend to use in the Octy (and one of which was installed in the S-Cross Friday) - that has enough power and channels to do everything I want.
no changes here, though I'm now back at home after having delivered Monster to Uni, so the A2 can come off the road soon again. In the mean time there's opportunity to fix some stuff.- I really do need my centre armrest back
- I will go back and ask for one more degree of toe-in to see how it helps the steering at high speed.
this is and it will- sheesh, this car dances on gravel at 80. It's also really loud at the moment, I think the C-pillar lower covering is missing on one side, which would partly explain it
I found a really good looking place to stay and I think I have a couple of alternative catering possibilties lined up - I need to confirm some stuff this week if possible.- Track is extremely likely to go ahead, also with a track on land this time and quite possibly our own private rally stage.. got to work on the logistics and numbers on that one.
I think this is something that one of mine needs Mike! Not looking forward to swapping it.Well today i have spent far to long in what i could imagine as a yoga class with my A2 -- yep replacing the brake light switch. OH BOY its not easy to access. But fixed now.
my poor old knees !
Seconded. The least favourite thing I’ve done on an A2 ?I think this is something that one of mine needs Mike! Not looking forward to swapping it.

You have the benefit of being bendier than I sir. The fact you managed it on the beach at Bream without seeming to utter any expletives was a triumph!I quite like the brake light switch job - just one Torx bit and I already know how to get all the panel bits off ... that's my kind of fix
Jeez that’s awful. Where was the car parked?Today I swore a lot as some thieving scumbag has stolen the front part of my exhaust from directly below the number 5 in the diagram below to just before the rear lambda (13). Just sawn it off. I presume the box between items 7 and 13 is a catalytic converter or the post cat lambda would be farther forward?

When I started the car, I thought someone had swapped the engine for a Rolls Royce Merlin!
