Train has now broken down and is being cancelled at Stafford. I’m not touching anything else today.
Oh no, what a day! Hope you get home without any further issues Darren.
He’s having my sort of luck!Darren I wouldn’t bother with the lottery numbers tonight

Hi Keith it’s not this is caused by a leaking valve this means that this valve simply gets very hot thus why it’s like this. The reason it was stripped down is this is what we were expecting to find.

Today my head specialist confirmed a leaking valve stem seal on the exhaust side of No.2 interesting the others are in excellent shape.
With the head kit and bolts £200 all in, can’t complain

Well technically yesterday the Engine Warning light on the newly purchased FSI that appeared 20 miles after purchase, went out! I can confirm today it has stayed out!!! ?
No idea at all if it is connected but I put a double dose of the millers fuel additive for petrol (the ‘sister’ of the one I and @Erlingtheelder have used on all our A2’s) in before I set off and 15 miles later ‘ping’ it’s gone!!!
So now I have a car which revs freely, is telling me it’s doing 51 mpg (it’s done 320 miles so far and is showing half full with 240 range on the DIS) and is generally great fun to drive. Who knew????
Certainly am Darren. It’s great isn’t it???I add Redex injector cleaner at varying intervals throughout the year. I definitely think it helps with the running, plus high-octane quality fuel only of course. A result, hope you are enjoying the FSI as an alternative to the TDI power and torque.
